If there’s one song that fans are anticipating hearing from Mariah Carey’s “Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse” album, it’s probably “It’s A Wrap,” a duet with Mary J. Blige.
In the song, originally set to release in 2010, Blige starts by sharing some encouraging words with her friend Mariah who’s in a relationship that has run its course.
“You been hanging on, to this dude / Knowing he been doing you dirty / Won’t you just cut this guy loose? / Tell him it’s a wrap because you’re better than that/and you’re Mariah Carey, remember?” says Blige.
The duet will appear on Carey’s 14th studio album, which will release on May 27. The new project features major acts including Nas, Miguel, Wale, Mary J. Blige and Fabolous.
