A few members of R&B’s rising class, August Alsina, Mack Wilds—and yes—British pop/R&B singer Ed Sheeran cover VIBE Magazine’s Summer 2014 issue.
The reveal has been unmasked and the official cover for VIBE Magazine’s Summer 2014 cover has been unleashed. Recruited by VIBE to represent the future of R&B music, each in their own ways, are crooners August Alsina, Mack Wilds and Ed Sheeran. Although each singer may travel on different avenues of the ‘R&B’ highway, the three are connected by the art of music and are ‘Soul Brothers’—at least by the title of the magazine issue.
“I was definitely surprised to be asked to be on the cover of VIBE yet being British and Ginger,” says Sheeran.
“Just to be a part of VIBE, you know, such a staple hip-hop magazine, especially one that’s giving props to–I guess–the new faces of R&B, it was amazing,” says Wilds.
The three artists got to indulge in a fun, unique photoshoot experience where they invited fans to a Los Angeles single-level house to enjoy a pool party for the spread.
