It’s been six years since Teyana Taylor hit the music scene with “Google Me.” At the time, she was signed to Pharrell Williams’ Star Trak Entertainment. Unfortunately, Taylor never released an album while signed to that label. Now, after inking a deal with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam Recordings, the Harlem born singer is ready to release her first album.
Taylor’s debut album is titled “VII” and will release on October 21. The singer went to Instagram to announce the news to her fans. “Don’t Sleep. #VII #Oct.21 #ItsTime,” she wrote.
In May, Taylor released the album’s lead track “Maybe” assisted by Pusha T and Yo Gotti. Fueling more excitement about her new album, Taylor also shared a snippet of her song called “Request.” Preview the track below.
