R&B veteran Ginuwine announced he has reunited with super-producer Timbaland for his eighth studio album, Same Ol G, named after his 1998 hit single.
The “Pony” singer’s new album is slated to release in 2015. There is no other information available about the album at this time.
Timbaland worked closely with Ginuwine on his first two albums (Ginuwine…The Bachelor and 100% Ginuwine). He also contributed to a track called “Get Involved” on Ginuwine’s 2009 album A Man’s Thoughts.
In 2011, Timbaland told BET.com that he was willing to work with Ginuwine again despite their differences in the past. “I’d work with Ginuwine because I love Ginuwine,” said Timbaland.
“I’d work for him, not for the money, not to put a record out. Just for old time’s sake. Let’s do it for music’s sake. Let’s do it for what we were. Let’s do it for our friendship…our brotherhood,” Tim said.
