Mary J. Blige will guest star on this week’s episode of FOX’s hit show Empire. On the episode, which airs on March 11, Blige plays Angie, a woman from Lucious Lyon’s (played by Terrence Howard) past. The two artists perform a beautiful duet called “Shake Down” while entertaining family and other guests.
The original version of “Shake Down,” which features Usher, is lifted off Blige’s eighth studio album, Growing Pains. The album won a Grammy for Best Contemporary R&B Album.
“Shake Down,” featuring Terrance Howard will appear on Original Soundtrack from Season One of Empire, due in stores March 10.
