Throwback Thursday: Anita Baker – ‘Body & Soul’

Let’s take it back to the early ’90s. This week’s Throwback Thursday jam is by the legendary Anita Baker. 

In 1994, Baker released “Body & Soul” as the lead single from her album, Rhythm of Love. The song, written by Rick Nowels and Ellen Shipley, became a hit, earning Baker her first top 40 single since 1989.

Baker’s voice soars on the piano-driven track. The soulful song is an example of timeless music.
