Keyshia Cole Previews New Song, ‘Best Friend’

Keyshia Cole has wasted no time getting in the studio to create new music for her forthcoming album.

The Oakland native took to her social media on Sunday (August 2) to share snippets of a new song titled “Best Friend.” On the track, Cole sings about being the person her man can depend on and how she count on him to be honest at all times. “I believed every word that you told me / there would be no talk because you would show me / It will be a feeling that I couldn’t describe, you know why? / because I would be your best friend,” sings Cole.

The song will appear on Cole’s follow-up to 2014’s Point of No Return, which included “Rick James,” “She” and “N.L.U” featuring 2 Chainz.

Cole announced at the 2015 BET Awards that her new album would be released independently.
