Keke Palmer is back with new music and the visual. The actress/singer has released a video for her new single “I Don’t Belong To You” produced by London On Da Track.
The clip begins with Palmer leaving her boyfriend (played by singer/actor Rotimi) for good as she sings “I don’t belong to you.” She stops back home to put on a sexy outfit for the person she’s been seeing on the low (hint: there’s a plot twist.)
In an interview with XO Necole, Palmer dished on her inspiration behind the song and video.”The inspiration behind the song is kind of just life lessons, like relationship stuff and work stuff,” she said. “I don’t belong to anyone else but myself. I have to make my own decisions. Happiness is defined by me. My sexuality is defined by me. And that can change and this can change and I can make it what I want to make it because I’m the one who makes that choice.”
Aside from music, Palmer has a reoccurring role on FOX’s new comedy horror, Scream Queens.
