After dropping his IAMSAM mixtape in December, The-Dream premieres his short film titled Genesis. The 40-minute visual experience, exclusively released via TIDAL, is compilation of 10 songs paired with striking visuals gives users a peek inside of the beautiful chaos that lives within the brilliant visionary.
“This visual art project was created to give fans a glimpse of my daily thoughts,” said The-Dream in a press release. “I, along with my fans, are lovers of music and art, but to me those two worlds are one and the same. I can never fully explain what I see and what I hear separately, it must be fused into one. For instance you take a song like “Holy Grail”; when I wrote the music and the vocal for that record, I had a vision that came simultaneously with that record itself. I feel cheated when songs leave my heart without the vision intended.”
Next month, The-Dream will kick off his mini tour to promote Genesis. The producer/artist will visit major cities in the U.S. including Atlanta, Washington, D.C., New York and Los Angeles.
