Now that the dust has settled from Keyshia Cole’s departure from Interscope Records, the singer-songwriter is ready to release official new music.
Last night, Cole announced on Instagram that she plans to release her first independent single “Best Friend” very soon.

“Decided to release the first single independent!!!! #BestFriend coming soon!!,” she wrote. “This a very special record for me!!! And I have one of my favs mixing the record!!!! @JaycenJoshua #Family!!! Thanks Jay and also #Empire #Empire and I have decided to team up!!! I really hope u guys Fall in love with the record as much as I have.”
