In the wake of the recent police shootings, Miguel shares an emotional demo called “How Many.” The Los Angeles native vents about how he’s tired of seeing black lives being killed off by police officers.
“I’m tired of human lives turned into hashtags and prayer hands / I’m tired of murderers getting off,” he sings.
R&B Artists Speak Out Against Police Brutality
Miguel says he will update the song weekly until it’s complete.
“This version was started (written/recorded) here in London in my hotel room between the hours of 4 a.m. and around 7 a.m. when I passed out,” he wrote on Soundcloud. “I’ll update this song every week until it is complete. Please feel free to share. #blacklivesmatter.”
