Nearly 17 years after Eric Benét and Tamia released their classic duet, “Spend My Life With You,” the R&B veterans have reunited for a remix of Benét’s latest single, “Sunshine.”
Benét and Tamia’s chemistry remains strong on the smooth, heartwarming track. “Oh let me feel, I need to feel that sunshine / The light that used to glow up on my face,” they harmonize in the chorus.
“Sunshine,” which is currently No. 4 on urban AC radio, is lifted from Benét’s forthcoming self-titled album, due on Oct. 7 via Primary Wave Entertainment/Jordan House Records. The remix will appear as a bonus track.
This fall, Eric will be a special guest on Anthony Hamilton’s What I’m Feelin’ Tour with Lalah Hathaway.

The forthcoming project is the follow-up to Benét’s 2012 LP, The One. The album included standouts like “News For You” and “Runnin.”
