As JoJo gears up to release her comeback album, Mad Love, on October 14, the singer shares the title track. On the doo woo-inspired tune, JoJo sings about the intense feelings of being in love.
“You know, love is just one of those things / You can’t really explain, that’s insane,” she says in the intro.
In an interview with Vogue, JoJo revealed her album was inspired by a recent relationship. “In the beginning of the year, when I started on this album, I got into the studio while at the end of this relationship that I wasn’t really able to let go of, and Mad Love is a product of talking about that,” she explained.
She continued, “When I think of all the different meanings that Mad Love can take on, I felt like it would be perfectly representative of this project after so long, and the way I feel about my fans, the people who have stuck by me during all this time and grown with me and encouraged me.”
Mad Love will include features from Alessia Cara, Wiz Khalifa and Remy Ma.
