It’s been a long road for Demetria McKinney, but it’s finally time! The EOne Music signee’s debut album Officially Yours is set to release on October 6.
The actress and singer took to Instagram to unveil the official release date and album cover, citing singer-songwriter Kandi Burruss as the executive producer. This isn’t the first time the two have collaborated; McKinney enlisted Burruss for their song “Unnecessary Trouble” back in 2015.
McKinney’s musical journey spans back to 2011, which includes collaborations with rapper Da Brat, fellow R&B singer Musiq Soulchild, and her painfully underrated record “Trade It All,” which found success at Urban AC radio in 2015.
Speaking of chart success, “Easy,” which is the lead single off Officially Yours, is currently pulling strong numbers on Urban AC radio, as it has just cracked the Top 10 this week.
