Lucky Daye has officially entered a new chapter. The Grammy-winning R&B singer has signed a new deal with Warner Records. He joins a growing roster that includes Syd, Alex Isley, Justine Skye, Teddy Swims and more.

Daye was previously signed to Keep Cool, in partnership with RCA Records, where he released his debut album, Painted (2019), followed by his collaborative project, Table For Two (2021), Candydrip (2022) and Algorithm (2024).

The latter project, his third LP, was nominated for Best R&B Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Although he didn’t take home a trophy for that category, he did win Best Traditional R&B Performance for the album’s lead single, “That’s You.” It marked his second Grammy win after Table For Two was crowned Best Progressive R&B Album at the 2022 ceremony.

With his new label home announcement, Daye has unveiled his new single “Nowhere Fast.” Produced by longtime collaborator D’Mile, “Nowhere Fast” cooks in samples of Rihanna’s “Birthday Cake” and Boozie Badazz’s “Independent.”

Speaking on “Nowhere Fast,” Daye said, “We live in a world that’s constantly telling us to move faster. But sometimes real growth happens when you slow down and move with intention. That’s what ‘Nowhere Fast’ is about—being present, trusting your pace, and not losing sight of what actually matters.”

“Nowhere Fast” is the first single from Daye’s fourth album, slated for release this fall. As indicated above, Daye’s upcoming project will follow 2024’s Algorithm. Regarding the genre-bending album, he explained, “Algorithm is the continued exploration of my sound, leaning into more futuristic and alternative sounds. Whenever I create with D’Mile and J. Kercy, we create magic, so I hope the fans love this project as much as I do.”

The album included the singles “That’s You,” “HERicane,” and “Soft,” plus featured collaborations with Teddy Swims and RAYE.
Since releasing Algorithm, Daye has collaborated with Kehlani (“When He’s Not There”), India Shawn (“Cotton Candy Blvd”), Tori Kelly (“Make A Baby”) and most recently, Tank and The Bangas (“Move”).
