R&B gem Lalah Hathaway premieres a lit music video for her feel-good single “I Can’t Wait,” lifted from her upcoming album, Honestly.
In the Jay Ahn-directed clip, Hathaway hosts a kickback and gathers her friends to enjoy a night of dancing and plenty of plastic red cups.
Hathaway explained how “I Can’t Wait” inspired her friends to bust a move. “You know, you have the mood music that you can barbecue to, you can clean up to, you can do stuff to,” she said to ABC News Radio in August. “That record is one of those records for me, so in playing all the records for my friends, that one got the most, just literally, get-up-and-dance moves.”
