Earlier this month, Rated R&B reported Bluebird of Happiness will be Tamar Braxton’s final album. Since the announcement, her fans panicked and caused an uproar on social media. Now, the singer is opening up about why she is closing the book on her music.
“There are a lot of things that I want to do, and a lot of things that are in the works,” Braxton told Entertainment Tonight. “There’s a lot of things that are going on in my relationship and me being close to this music industry, and whatever I can do to eliminate all of the stress and problems off of my relationship, I would rather do that.”
She continued, “My husband [music executive Vince Herbert] and I work very close together and it’s really hard, you know? Not only do we work together, he is my baby daddy, and you know, we’ve been together forever. He’s my best friend. It’s a lot of things to discuss and argue about.”
Although Bluebird of Happiness — which releases on September 29 — will be Braxton’s last album, she does plan to write for other artists.
On November 22, Braxton will join Xscape on its reunion tour, along with Monica. The tour will conclude on January 6 in Los Angeles, Calif.
