With her summer anthem “Boo’d Up” climbing the charts, Ella Mai enlists Nicki Minaj and Quavo for the official remix.
The enhanced version opens with Minaj a.k.a. Chun Li spitting a dope verse where she lists why her man is so special. “Fuckin’ wit’ him but we never tell the press, though / Dick game on, Alakazam, presto / Still a Playboy bunny on Hef, though,” she raps.
Quavo adds his signature sound in the third verse,”When we boo’d up, she keep me out the street-streets / Hit it back-to-back, make me call her repeat.”
The original version of “Boo’d Up” is lifted from Mai’s Ready EP, which dropped in February 2017. The song has over 42 million streams on Spotify and peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs chart.
On August 6, Mai will kick off her Boo’d Up Tour in Dallas.
