Toni Rotimi has been teasing fans on social media about releasing her “Cry Me A River” remix over the last few days. After 3,000 Instagram comments, she followed through and released “Lying With Her” produced by Kill Miami.
The production features an acoustic guitar under rhythmic claps, giving Justin Timberlake’s hit song a stripped down feel. Staying close to the melody of the original, Rotimi sings “ You said that you loved me / Then why would you leave me all alone? / Accusing me of cheating but you’re the one creeping on the low / And I know that it hurts but I hope that you know it’s your turn to cry / I’m moving on, you can move alone / Now I’m saying goodbye / I know you’re lying with her.”
Toni released her debut EP Tomboy last March and has been dropping visuals all throughout the latter half of 2018, hinting that more new music is on the way.
