After stretching the promotion of his Game Changer album for over four years, Johnny Gill has decided to finally move on to a new era. The R&B vet has announced his new single “Soul of a Woman” and it’s bound to touch the hearts of many women.
Backed by thrilling guitar riffs, Gill’s conveys his love message to his special lady with bountiful coos. He shines the spotlight on his baby as he gloats about her rare qualities.
“Cause baby your love is so divine / It’s just like paradise / And it’s a beautiful design / Girl, you give me life,” he vocalizes to the one he loves.
Gill compliments the new track with a beautiful lyric video. The visual features photos of prominent black women in music, film and politics, including Janet Jackson, Maya Angelou, Taraji P. Henson, and Stacy Abrams.
As previously mentioned, “Soul of a Woman” is the first single from Gill’s follow-up to 2014’s Game Changer. The project yielded five successful singles, including “Behind Closed Doors” and “This One’s for Me and You.”
