On Sunday night, the 2019 NAACP Image Awards aired on TV One. The star-studded ceremony, which celebrates the talents and contributions of individuals of color, presented Beyoncé with the Entertainer of the Year award.
Instead of thanking her team and those involved in her craft, the multi-awarded superstar used her speech to honor her fellow nominees, including Chadwick Boseman, LeBron James, Regina King, and Ryan Coogler.
Ella Mai won three awards, including Outstanding New Artist, Outstanding Album (Ella Mai) and Outstanding Song – Contemporary for “Boo’d Up.”
