James Brown’s 1972 Album ‘Get on the Foot’ to Get Vinyl Treatment

James Brown’s 1972 album, Get on the Good Foot, will be reissued worldwide in a new 2LP vinyl edition on June 21 via Republic/UMe.

The new edition will include art sleeves with master tape box images. “I Know It’s True,” the closing track, will make its vinyl debut in the U.S.

The title track (“Get on the Good Foot”) was released as a two-part single; part one peaked at No. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on the R&B chart. It was also Brown’s first record to be certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America on September 19, 1972.
