Chicago-based television production company Central City Productions has announced this year’s honorees at the Black Music Honors.
R&B veterans Xscape, Tamia and Freddie Jackson will be celebrated for their contributions to American music at the start-studded ceremony. Yolanda Adams and Arrested Development have also been confrimed as honorees. The award show will be taped on September 5 in Atlanta, Georgia.
The performance lineup has also been revealed. Kelly Price, Keke Wyatt, Mali Music, MAJOR., 702, Le’Andria Johnson, Leon Timbo, Tony Terry and Dee-1 are set to take the stage. More performers will be announced at a later date.
LeToya Luckett and radio personality Ricky Smiley are set to return as co-hosts.
Last year’s honorees included Faith Evans, Bobby Brown, Dallas Austin, BeBe & CeCe Winans, and Whodini.
