Timothy Bloom is back with a new single titled “Unforgettable,” which he wrote and produced. It is his first song release since 2018’s “Burden’s Song.”
Speaking on the soulful number, Bloom says, “‘Unforgettable’ was inspired by me never wanting to let go of the beauty that is around all us. Basking in the presence of life and immortality.”
Along with the single release, Bloom also premiered the accompanying video that was directed by Dove Shore. Bloom says the visual was inspired by his ancestry.
“My parents are from Mississippi, so I wanted to take the time and honor them,” he said. “The feeling was surreal, every moment had this massive energy, as if they were still there. From the plantations to the city halls, where they would be hung.”
“Unforgettable” is the first offering from the singer-songwriter’s forthcoming album, In Full Bloom, which is slated to release in early 2020.
According to a press release, the album “explores the gamut of that healing process, from confronting the realities of a far-from-post-racial America to celebrating personal acceptance.”
In other news, Bloom used his musical skills to score the upcoming film, Dear Frankie, which stars Brian J. White, Columbus Short and Claudia Jordan. It hits theaters on November 10.
