Dana Vaughns’ debut EP Familiar Strangers has arrived.
Released on his own independent label, the actor/singer’s new project includes the lead single “Lovey Dovey” featuring Jordan Ward.
The six-track project also features an appearance from former Mindless Behavior member Mike River.
Vaughns describes the title of the EP as “a montage of first time experiences with a new lover.”
“What makes this muse ‘familiar’ to me is the way I feel,” he wrote on Instagram. “As described in ‘Rough Rider’ I mention that I wasn’t even looking for love, but the feeling transcended time. Almost as if we had met before; an aligning of paths. The ‘strangers’ part is simple. The contrast between these two words is what makes it special.”
Beginning on November 16, Vaughns will support Familiar Strangers on Jordyn Jones’ Eyes on Me Tour. Tickets are available now.
