Jorja Smith is bringing back the sounds of acid jazz on her new single “Rose Rouge.”
On her latest track, the British singer brings her sultry finesse to a new territory as she covers St Germain’s 2000 jazz hit “Rose Rouge,” based on Marlena Shaw’s live version of “Woman Of The Ghetto.”
“I want you to get together,” Smith teases as her smooth vocals cascade over the pulsing breakbeat jam, making for a mesmerizing, chic jam.
The new song is lifted from the Blue Note Records upcoming compilation LP Blue Note Re:imagined, due out in September.

Smith has been on a jazz streak with “Rose Rouge” following the equally infectious “Kiss Me In The Morning,” released back in May.
