Tweet keeps it honest on her new song. Produced by longtime collaborator Charlie Bereal (Raphael Saddiq, Jamie Foxx), the southern hummingbird dolefully sings about a failing relationship.
She comes to terms that things aren’t working for her as she coos over the soulfully warped number.
On the first half of the song, Tweet sings, “You’re not the guy, the one I dreamed of / I can tell cause I only give just enough / Say what I had to, to save your feelings / But I don’t want to lie to you anymore / So I’ll just close the door and leave you alone / Please forgive me, I admit I’m wrong / I admit I’m wrong.”
“I Admit It” is Tweet’s first official single since her 2016 album, Charlene, which included a guest feature from Missy Elliott.
