Dawn Richard cranks up the tempo in her new song, “Miles.” Written and produced by Richard and Druski, “Miles” is the second track released from Richard’s forthcoming Christmas EP, Whiteout.
“Miles is a perfect example of what the ‘hearts’ can expect from ‘Whiteout’,” says Richard. “Everyone may not get it at first but this is for the diehard hearts who have been rocking with me from the beginning. This EP is for them.”
Whiteout will release on Dec. 1 via iTunes.
The EP is simply for Richard’s loyal fans to enjoy until her debut album, Goldenheart, releases on Jan. 15, 2013. The album was delayed after Richard signed a distribution deal with Altavoz Distribution.
“We have just signed with Altavoz Distribution, which will allow us to have the record ‘GoldenHeart’ in every store—from Best Buy to Target to the mom and pop stores,” Richard said. “This is exactly what we needed to expand the brand. It’s a movement.”
