Nearly two years after the release of Technicolor EP, MAAD has returned with the follow-up, Eventually Pt. 1.
The six-track EP touches on the art of time in life and love. Its textured production in humid synths and sultry horns amplifies her spirited tempo for 19 minutes.
“This record is about the journey and rejoicing the importance of self-love,” MAAD explained to Who What Wear. “I really wanted to take a different approach with this release and be fully transparent with myself.”
Eventually Pt. 1, which was led by the dreamy title track, also features the optimistically vibrant “Get By.” A mood shift on the EP comes with “Sensitivity,” an oil-slick tune about seeking more delicate affection from her brash man.
