Somebody call the radio: the next number one single is on the way. Legendary hitmakers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, going under the moniker Jam & Lewis, have brought feeling back to R&B with their fine new single “He Don’t Know Nothin’ Bout It.”
Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds’ sensitive yet expressive voice is at the backbone of this quintessential piano-based jam about a woman ridding herself from a destructive love to find a man that will value her heart and time.
If Jam & Lewis’ debut album, slated to arrive in 2021, is anything like “He Don’t Know Nothin’ Bout It,” it sure will appeal to those who have been hankering for the return of true R&B.
The first official album by Jam & Lewis will be issued through their new deal with BMG.
“This album is an important next step in the already legendary careers of Jimmy and Terry,” said Stephen Greener of Primary Wave and manager of the dynamic pair. “This first album from the iconic duo signals yet another landmark moment helping to cement their musical legacies.”
In 2019, Jam & Lewis dropped the track “Til’ I Found You” featuring Ann Nesby and the late-Big Jim Wright (of Sounds of Blackness) and Lauren Evans.
