With less than a month until his debut album drops, August Alsina gives fans a little taste of what to expect. The New Orleans native has released a two-minute snippet of his Rick Ross assisted track “Benediction.”
On the track, Alsina pays tribute to his older brother who was murdered in 2010. “I know you kept me out of prison where I was heading/ When I heard somebody killed my brother, 187/I hope he made it to your presence/For me he was a blessing/At least I know he’s resting/ And he ain’t out here stressing,” Alsina sings.
Alsina’s upcoming album “Testimony” will be available everyone on April 15. Those who pre-order the album will get an instant download of “Benediction.”
