R&B crooner Elijah Blake delivers a breathtaking acoustic remix to John Legend’s hit single “All of Me.”
Wearing his heart on his sleeve and confessing his feelings to the mic, Elijah Blake belts out a touching remake to John Legend’s hit song “All of Me.” Most of us–if not everyone–can relate to giving their all to someone who gave back less, if nothing at all, in return. Blake puts his twist on the song’s original lyrics and gives it a brand new meaning without taking a bit of its charm away.
“All of me was too much for you, you’re so used to basic n—-as, petty jobs and minimum figures,” croons Blake. “Baby part of me, I just hate to lose, I believed that you were different, tell your mom and all your siblings I gave you all of me, but you gave me none of you.”
Blake amazes with his impressive vocal range and high falsettos in the nearly five-minute clip. His beautiful voice is complimented by musician Mark Pelli who offers his vocals here and there through out the acoustic performance. The singer even managed to sneak in a piece of his latest single “Sing For Me” blending it in well with the “All of Me” acoustic set. Even though Blake changed the message of the song, the beauty of the track remains untouched.
