Everyone’s favorite uncle, Charlie Wilson, plans to release his seventh studio album and tour across the U.S. during the first quarter of 2015.
Scheduled to arrive on January 27 via RCA Records, Wilson’s new album Forever Charlie serves as the follow-up to his award-winning 2013 release Love, Charlie. The new album also marks his fifth album to feature his first name in its title. The R&B legend’s forthcoming project will feature his single “Goodnight Kisses,” which stands in the top 20 of the urban adult contemporary radio chart.
Following the album’s release, the 61-year-old singer will headline a tour named after his new album starting on February 12 in Cleveland. Fellow singers Joe and Kem serve as special guests for the forthcoming concerts. “I am looking forward to sharing the stage with my two talented friends Kem and Joe,” says Wilson in press statement. “They are both artists that I admire and am honored to have them on my tour. We are planning a show the audience won’t ever forget.”
Those who pre-order Forever Charlie from the singer’s official online store, will gain first access to pre-sale tickets for the tour. The pre-sale begins on December 9 at 10 a.m. — three days before the general public can purchase tickets on December 12.
