While touring for her latest album, Lemonade, Beyoncé delivers a momentous gift to the city of Flint, Michigan.
On June 13, Parkwood Entertainment — Bey’s entertainment and management company — and the Director of Philanthropy and Corporate Relations Ivy McGregor presented a donation to the United Way of Genesee County at a Detroit high school as part of the entertainer’s philanthropic movement, BeyGOOD, according to a release from United Way. The donation totaled at $82,234 in check to the city as a result of fans wanting to help with the recent water crisis.
Along with the donation, 14 Detroit-based high school students were selected to receive special gifts for education expenses and tickets to Beyonce’s performance at Ford Field in Detroit.
Beyoncé is set to continue her tour overseas in Europe this month.
