Early Thursday morning, the nominations for the 68th annual Emmy Awards were announced. Among the nominees was Beyoncé and her visual album, Lemonade.
Queen Bey grabbed a few spots on the bill for the Emmy Awards, securing a total of four nominations. Her nominations include categories like Outstanding Variety Special, Outstanding Picture Editing For Variety Programming and Outstanding Production Design For A Variety, Nonfiction, Event Or Award Special.
This would be the first nomination for Beyoncé as a director, getting the nod for Outstanding Directing For A Variety Special with co-director Khalil Joseph. In this category, Beyonce faces Adele Live In New York City and Chris Rock’s Amy Schumer: Live At The Apollo.
This news follows the news that the studio album that goes with the short film went certified platinum in June.
