The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, Mary J. Blige, recruits Rick Ross for her new song “Why,” which will appear on her upcoming album “My Life II…The Journey Continues (Act I).”
Blige sings in the first verse: “I’ve been logging in my bed, crying til my eyes are red / We both said that things will change / But it’s still the same shade of gray / I get mad you walk away / When it all just start to fade / I know you’re fed up so am I / But we just can’t say goodbye / Boy, you know I love you / But I just can’t go on no more / Feelin’ this way.”
“Why” is definitely a great record. It was refreshing for MJB to take us back to the ’90s while remaining modern at the same time! Be sure to get Mary’s new album on November 21.
In case you missed it, MJB released another song from the album, “Mr. Wrong,” featuring Drizzy Drake.
