Earlier this month, Ruben Studdard released “June 28th (I’m Single)” as the lead single to his upcoming album “Letters From Birmingham.” A couple weeks ago, the former American Idol star released the official music video to the heartfelt ballad.
“This video has given me the opportunity to tell the story, but you always want to do something that is creative, and fun and fresh, not a sad thing. It’s just the both of us have moved on in life, and decided to do it in separate ways. It is something that I’m going through and felt it necessary to tell my story,” said Studdard.
The video wasn’t what I expected it to be. I thought it was too simple. The director could have done a better job at telling the story with visuals. Not to mention, the editing was not too good. Nonetheless, “June 28th” is still a great song.
“Letters From Birmingham” is expected to be released on March 13. Will you be buying a copy?
