R&B megastar Usher is set to release his seventh studio album “Looking For Myself” on June 12, 2012 via RCA Records.
The lead single “Climax” co-penned by Usher and produced by Diplo, is doing exceptionally well on the charts. The electro-R&B track now sits at #6 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and #40 on Billboard’s Hot 100.
On March 9th, the “Climax” music video premiered via VEVO. The Sam Pilling-directed clip has already gained over 5 million views.
“Looking For Myself” is the follow-up to Usher’s 2010 critically acclaimed release “Raymond v. Raymond” which spent 54 weeks on Billboard 200 , peaking at #1. The album featured Usher’s smash hit “OMG” which was Usher’s third best-selling single to date.
There’s no telling what direction Usher will go with “Looking For Myself.” Last year, Usher said that he will focus on revolutionary pop – which is a mixture of genres – on his new album.
Hopefully Usher will include a few concrete R&B songs for his fans.
