Powerhouse vocalist, Adele, will now add more awards to her awards collection. The 24-year-old singer won 12 Billboard Music Awards last night at the ceremony which aired live last night from the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Per usual, the singer made history as she came in second place for the most awards won in a single year in history of the Billboard Music Awards.
Adele won the following awards last night at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards: Top Artist; Top Female Artist; Top Billboard 200 Artist; Top Hot 100 Artist; Top Digital Songs Artist; Top Radio Songs Artist; Top Digital Media Artist; Top Billboard 200 Album (“21”); Top Pop Album; Top Streaming Song [Audio] (“Rolling in the Deep”); and Top Alternative Song (“Rolling in the Deep”).
Adele falls under Janet Jackson for the most Billboard Music awards won in a single night. Jackson won 15 awards at the 1990 ceremony.
Adele made history earlier this year at the 2012 Grammy Awards. She won six Grammy Awards, equaling the record most Grammy Awards won in a single night by a female artist.
