K. Michelle has something to celebrate. The Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta star recently announced that she has signed a record deal with Warner Brothers Records.
Michelle took it to Twitter to confirm the news: “Today was a very special day. Today I signed with Warner Brothers Records. I am a true testimony that God will make room for ur gifts,” she tweeted on Monday. So many people counted me out and wished bad upon me. Some if tried to destroy my name. I kept fighting and praying. Music is my life I have sooo much to sing about. The past is the past. I thank ALL of u 4just holding me down. Over a million downloads on a mixtape. DAMN,” she added.
The “Faking It” singer was originally signed to Jive Records — where her labelmate R. Kelly served as her mentor –before the label folded. Unfortunately, there was a lot of drama surrounding her
wish to leave the label.

“I feel like my label hasn’t allowed me to be me and I’m just at the point where it’s like Fawk you,” she said in a past interview. “There’s so much freedom in Fawk you. So that’s where I’m at with my label. Fawk you, Fawk you, Fawk you, Fawk you, Fawk you, Fawk you, I don’t care.”
K. Michelle will join other R&B/Soul singers on Warner Brothers’ roster including Jill Scott, Seal and Omarion.
Congratulations are in order for K. Michelle and her new venture. We are looking forward to finally seeing her debut album come to life.
