Destiny’s Child has released “Nuclear,” a song from their forthcoming compilation album, Love Songs.
Over a Baltimore Club-inspired production, helmed by Pharrell Williams, the trio sings about an explosive love chemistry.
“It’s nuclear / With you here / There’s nowhere left to run / Why run? Why would you run? / It‘s nuclear / With you here / We both heat up,” they sing in the chorus.
“Nuclear” was co-written by James Fauntleroy, Pharrell Williams, Lonny Bereal, and Michelle Williams. Beyoncé contributed to vocal production.
“Nuclear” is the only new track from Love Songs.
Love Songs will release on January 29 via Legacy Recordings. According to a press release, “Love Songs balances romantic, passionate and sensual selections” from the group’s iconic catalog.
In 2004, Destiny’s Child released their final album, Destiny Fulfilled. The album spawned hit singles “Lose My Breath,” “Cater 2 U,” “Soldier,” and “Girl.”
They embarked on their Destiny Fulfilled…And Loving It Tour to support the project.
