Bilal drops “West Side Girl” as the second single from his forthcoming album A Love Surreal, due in stores February 26. The funky tune is the follow up to the album’s lead single “Back to Love.”
Speaking on his vision for A Love Surreal, Bilal told Urban Daily, “It’s just a play on life meets art or art imitating life. As well, it’s a nod to Salvador Dali. He’s one of my favorite artists. With this music, I kinda of tried to smear certain sounds and create a certain tapestry that would sound like the way his artwork would look.”
