Newly crowned “American Idol” winner Candice Glover is not wasting time getting in the studio to record her debut album, “Music Speaks.” If that’s not all, Glover has already set a release date. “Music Speaks” is expected to hit shelves July 16 via 19 Recordings/Interscope Records.
Although the album is set to release less than two months from now, the R&B singer told Billboard the only song recorded is “I Am Beautiful.” “Actually the only song that I’ve recorded is one that I performed when I won the show,” said Glover. “That’s only one I have right now but I know that I’m ready to work.”
The season 12 winner will promote the new album by performing alongside her fellow “Idol” contestants on the American Idol Summer Tour, which starts on June 26 in St. Louis, MO. Glover will also appear on several media outlets like The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Live! with Kelly & Michael and more.
“Music Speaks” is now available for pre-order on iTunes.
