Canadian singer The Weeknd teases his fan with a snippet of his new song “John Carpenter.” The 21-second clip shows The Weeknd in the studio singing lyrics to the mysterious song.
Perhaps The Weeknd named the song after famed movie director John Carpenter, who was known for directing horror films in the 70’s and 80’s.
We’re not sure what “John Carpenter” is about, so we will have to wait. In the meantime, check out the short teaser below.

The Weeknd is prepping his official debut album, Kiss Land, which follows Trilogy. Trilogy, which was a collection of all three of his mixtapes, received major distribution via his record label.
