After sharing a video teaser, Janelle Monáe serves us the full video for her new single “Q.U.E.E.N.” featuring Erykah Badu. The Alan Ferguson-directed video takes place in a futuristic museum where Monáe dances to the funky tune. Meanwhile, Badu (who plays Badoula Oblongata) plays it cool with her grey poodle.
Monáe took to Twitter to share her excitement about her new video. “Shout out to my Wondaland Arts Society fam & my fav director Alan Ferguson for making the Q.U.E.E.N. visual come to life!!! Love y’all!!,” she tweeted.
“Q.U.E.E.N.” is the first single off Monáe’s upcoming album, The Electric Lady, which is expected to release later this summer.
