Alicia Keys teams up with Blackberry to offer a full, four year university scholarship program (Blackberry Scholars). The program was created due to women being a minority in the science and technology fields.
“This is more than just a scholarship, this is the beginning of a powerful network of women,” said Keys, who has been a brand ambassador for Blackberry since January. “It’s clear we need to elevate more women to leadership roles.”
The BlackBerry Scholars Program is a global four-year scholarship program for outstanding women entering their first year of undergraduate study at an accredited college or university.
The Program is designed to help increase the number of women studying and influencing the future of mobile computing, including Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, and particularly those with an interest and/or aptitude in the mobile computing space.
