R&B will be well-represented at the 2013 BET Awards. Mariah Carey, Chris Brown, Ciara, India.Arie, R. Kelly, and Miguel are named as performers for this year’s ceremony, the Associated Press reports.
“ANNOUNCEMENT: @MariahCarey @ciara @NICKIMINAJ & @indiaarie will be at #BETAwards this year!!! YES, #anythingJUSThappened ~RT!!!!!,” BET confirmed on Twitter.
Most of the R&B singers scheduled to perform have an album coming out soon.
India.Arie will release her “SongVersation” album on June 25. Ciara will release her self-titled album on July 9. Carey will release her highly-awaited album, “The Art of Letting Go,” on July 23. Brown will release his “X” album later this summer.
Chris Tucker will host the BET Awards live from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on June 30.
