Almost four months has passed since Toni Braxton announced the she would not be releasing “no new projects” in the future. However, the six-time Grammy Award-winning songstresses has had a change of heart. She heading back to the studio with long-time collaborator Kenneth “BabyFace” Edmonds and posted a photo on Instagram with the caption “September 2013.”
On the season finale of Braxton Family Values, the “Un-break My Heart” singer revealed she and BabyFace are working on a duets album.
“I think I’ve made the right decision to get back involved with songwriting and working with Kenny,” said the mother of two. “I can’t be afraid anymore. I have to live life. It’s OK to fail as long as you try, so I’m gonna try.”
The duet album will be released through Motown Records and she believes she and Edmonds’ current martial situation will create the perfect album.
“I think because Babyface and I have both gone through divorces, we can relate and we can collaborate together on this topic and make it so others who have gone through this situation can relate.”
We don’t know what changed Toni’s mind but we can’t wait for finished project.
