Former GAP Band member Charlie Wilson was honored with the Cadillac Lifetime Achievement Award last night (June 30) at the 2013 BET Awards. India.Arie, Jamie Foxx, and Stevie Wonder helped kick off the tribute with a special performance. After singing their hearts out, Wilson made his way to the stage to deliver his acceptance speech. After his speech, Wilson gave the audience what they wanted — a stellar performance.
The R&B/soul legend performed some of his greatest hits with assistance from Stevie Wonder, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell, and Snoop Dogg.
Wilson’s tribute performance was one of the most-talked-about performances of the night.
