Robin Thicke has been holding the fort for R&B music. With the amount of newfound attention surrounding him and his dance-crazed jam “Blurred Lines,” he decided to showcase his talents on the Today Show’s concert series.
Accompanied by three lovely ladies, he took the morning show stage by storm with an electrifying performance of his chart-topping track “Blurred Lines.” He also shed light on the controversy surrounding the track’s lyrics.
“When we made the song we had nothing but the most respect for women,” Thicke told Matt Lauer. “Sometimes the lyrics can get misconstrued when you’re just trying to put people on the dance floor and have a good time. But we had no idea it would stir this much controversy…. We only had the best intentions.”
Thicke brushed off the critics with a performance of his Timberland-produced track “Take It Easy On Me.”
